About Us

We set up whatusersdo so anyone, in any size or type of organisation, can observe real people using their website or mobile app. Quickly, easily and cost-effectively.

whatusersdo is an online User Experience research service. You can set a task for our users and we record their screens and spoken thoughts as they complete that task. You can then watch online videos of their computer screens, mobile devices and voices.

Our clients use whatusersdo to test usability, benchmark competing websites, better understand user behaviour and get feedback on their online propositions. In fact, so long as it's online, you can get qualitative user insights into almost anything. You can even test mobile websites and apps using our new mobile testing service.

What used to take days or weeks and thousands of pounds now takes a fraction of the time and cost.


History

whatusersdo Ltd was established in 2008 and whatusersdo.com was launched in public beta in November 2009. We are currently funded by North Star Equity Investors. We're working on some very exciting new features.

The Team

Managing Director
Nick Imrie has 20 years marketing, media and business growth experience. He joined the board as head of marketing for high growth start-up domainnames.com and grew it across four continents to then sell it to VeriSign Inc in 2001. He then started up two non-profits as well as growing and selling twenty first century media to Ten Alps Plc in 2008. In 2010 he started up a market disruptive conference call service, 03TALK and is a non-exec of ScreenReach.

Founder & Product Director
Lee Duddell  has over 20 years experience working on major internet sites (FT.com) and innovative smaller ones (UpMyStreet.com). He has always championed user testing but found it too costly and time consuming to do it as often as he wanted - until now!
Lee is a member of the User Experience Professionals' Association.

Commercial Director
Steven Porthouse brings more than 20 years sales and commercial experience across a range of sectors including public relations, digital, design, music, marketing and international distribution.

Client Services Director
Andrea Farnsworth is a digital professional with over 15 years experience in the sector, Andrea plays a pivotal role in developing our client engagement strategy . Having worked in digital agencies delivering high profile projects with very broad cross section of clients, she is well equipped to ensure that our clients get the optimum value from remote user research across their project lifecycles.

Senior Account Manager
Fatima Agzou is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. She has a broad experience working for large Corporates from the Internet Industry managing eCommerce clients.

Operations Manager
Morag McLaren brings with her over 10 years experience of reshaping companies and their operations in fields ranging from technology to membership organisations. She specialises in working with start ups by putting in place the foundations for rapid growth. Most likely to hear her say: "Always under promise and over deliver".

Sales Executive
Oliver Allen joined WhatUsersDo after finishing his academic career at Northumbria University. At university he achieved a ‘First-Class Honours’ degree in (BA) Business Studies, and a ‘Masters with Commendation’ in (MSc) Global Business Management. During university, he also worked for Everest Home Improvements gaining a LCGI award whilst helping the company improve product and service quality.
